Dirk Auerbach is a certified auditor and tax advisor with over 31 years of professional experience. Before joining the Geissbuehler Weber Group, he spent more than 27 years at KPMG, including more than 17 years as Head of Regulatory Services and 3 years as EMEIA Head of the Center of Regulatory Excellence and FSO FAAS Leader and Brexit Leader Germany at EY. In this context, he was also a member of various working groups of the Banking Committee of the Institute of Auditors, including the Money Laundering Working Group. Furthermore, he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation. Dirk Auerbach currently holds a teaching position for the master's programme "financial law" at the Frankfurt School of Finance. He is the editor of a commentary on the German Banking Act and the author of numerous publications on supervisory law, compliance/governance, money laundering prevention, risk management and accounting.
In addition to the tasks mentioned above, he provides advice on the structuring and execution of transactions, in particular on capital relief or capital raising measures, the market entry of companies in the financial sector (including BREXIT consulting) as well as on special issues including support in the processing of regulatory monies.
